Dangerous Names – Rehumanizing the dehumanized
***** Choice of critics Dutch Theatre journal *****
‘This show did more for Bosnia Herzegovina than all the politicians in the last 25 years combined’
(Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, dr. Bisera Turkovic)
‘A magnificent and heart wrenching theatre play that only gains interest in this dreadful times’
Nan van Houte, former secretary general of the IETM
Dangerous Names is a theatrical anatomy of evil. A blood-curdling thriller in which the lead actress, Alma Mustafic, is a survivor of the Srebrenica genocide. She plays this performance together with Raymond Braat, a former member of the Un-battalion that was actually co-responsible for the death of her father. Supported by Dutch actors like Netflix and musical star Jolijn Henneman, Alma and Ray captivate the audience with a heart-wrenching tale about horror, strength and the battle for justice.
Dangerous Names is much more than a story about then, there and they. It is a story about us, here and now. It shows what all of us are capable of doing, when we are made to believe that other people’s lives have less value than ours. It does so in an overwhelming and hyper realistic theatre performance with impressive music and visuals.
